Gotta get the new translation of The Book of Abramelin....
    it fucking rocks.....
In the text itself it is so much more clear than Mathers THEE and THOU woo woo formalities translation....
I don't know that I would suggest doing the work as it is described in the book
but I think it is more than a legit argument that the heart and center of magick is contacting your
    higher self (holy guardian angel)

much of what is described in the book NEEDS to be looked at metaphorically and it becomes much more clear...
on the other hand it is so simple and clear just as is.

ONE OF THE MOST influencial magickal books EVER written and with just cause.
Should be a part of every serious students library.
    Cheers
    RR.

thanks for the recomendations! yes i see some of these writings posted on line however it is not really convenient to read lengthy text on the internet. A book in my library, however, can be referred to again and again and read anywhere. i do prefer a book to on line text. With this in mind how do you feel about eliphus levi's contributions? enochian magick by crowley was also suggested. anybody else like this book?

CORRECTION: that is Enochian Magic' by Scheuler (lewellyn publications)and "magick in theory and practice by crowley.

Any additional feedback on these books or other recomendations would be appreiciated.

can't say a word about levi at the moment.... haven't read him...

For an intro to Enochian magic I think there is no one better than Lon Milo DuQuette...
he makes things clear... (and in the interest of disclosure) I consider him one of my best teachers and I attend his
        weekly magic classes

As for Magick in theory and practice.... really good but if you can I suggest getting the big BOOK 4
as it contains not only MITAP but also has all kinds of annotations, translations, and appendix that makes things much more clear.
Crowley has that tendency to keep referring to other texts and its really nice to have a large amount of them right there in the same book.
        Cheers.
